US entry stop for Europe!
The United States continues to deny entry to Europeans and other foreigners due to the corona virus. The causes are the highly contagious delta variant and the rising incidence of infections in the United States, Presidential Office spokeswoman Jen Zaki (42) said Monday. The Reuters news agency previously reported on the planned decision.
No matter how long the entry ban still applies, Sackie remained open. The Department of Transportation said it would have to wait until September or so to make the lift. Non-American citizens who have recently resided in Schengen, Great Britain, China, India or Brazil have not been able to enter the United States for several months.
Airlines and travel agencies have been campaigning heavily for more than a year to remove the restrictions that have been in place by Europeans. President Angela Merkel (67) called for the cancellation during a visit to US President Joe Biden (78) in mid-July.
Peter Bayer, 50, the Atlantic co-ordinator of the German government, asked the United States to ease regulations in mid-July. This is also important because German companies get hundreds of thousands of jobs in the United States. Americans need to understand: “If the exchange does not take place, American jobs will be ‘at risk’.”
Last Friday, the U.S. government decided to extend entry restrictions for travelers from Mexico and Canada until August 21st. Canada recently announced that Americans who have been fully vaccinated since August 9 will be allowed to re-enter the country.
European In many European countries and Canada, vaccination rates are higher than in the United States. There have been recent reports that Washington is also considering making vaccinations mandatory for entry.
The delta variant also drives the infection process in the United States. Last week, the US epidemiological agency CDC said the number of corona patients had increased by 53 percent compared to the previous week.
