President Bolzano is losing recognition in Brazil because he handled the corona epidemic. Tens of thousands of people took to the streets on Saturday to protest his policies.
In Brazil, tens of thousands of people protested against President Jair Bolsanaro. Protests took place in cities such as Belo Horizonte, Salvador and the capital Brasilia. In Rio de Janeiro, about 10,000 people took to the streets.
The main reason for this is the handling of the Bolsanaro corona epidemic, but also the destruction of the Amazon rainforest. Protesters also accused Bolzano of inciting racism and violence in Brazilian society.

Govt-19 is a “small fever”
Left-wing organizations, unions and student movements called for demonstrations. One of the central demands is an increase in the purchase of corona vaccines and social assistance. Protesters wearing corona respirators shouted “Bolzano!” And accused the head of state of “genocide”.
Bolzano has been accused of reducing the epidemic by promoting the rapid spread of the corona virus in Latin America ‘s largest country. The right-wing extremist president described the Covit-19 disease caused by the corona virus as a “minor flu” and criticized Brazilian states and municipalities for taking steps to contain the virus because of its economic consequences. He also questioned the effectiveness of the vaccines.

Support for Bolzano as well
Protests against the president have been going on for months. Meanwhile they have become more popular. Bolzano’s popularity has plummeted. According to a survey conducted by the Datafolha Institute, this is only 24 percent.
Over the past two weeks, however, supporters of the president have taken to the streets – despite calls by Bolzano for these demonstrations.
Brazil is one of the worst countries in the world to be affected by the corona epidemic. The health ministry reported more than 79,600 new infections on Saturday. In all, more than 460,000 people died as a result of the corona virus.
