Corona worldwide: US travel warning to Japan ahead of Olympics – Politics

Two months before the start of the Summer Olympics, the United States issued a travel alert to Japan on Level 4, indicating an epidemic. The Olympics are scheduled to take place in Tokyo from July 23 to August 8. The Foreign Ministry’s recommendations, “Do not travel to Japan,” have been in effect since Monday.

In Tokyo, government spokesman Katsunobu Gado said the U.S. warning would have no effect on the Olympics. “We believe that the United States has not changed its position in supporting Japan’s efforts to host the Olympics and Paralympics,” he told a regular conference. Kato said the recommendation would have no impact on the U.S. Olympic team and that the move was not a ban.

The U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOBC) “hopes that the current safeguards will allow safe participation,” it said in a statement. A U.S. State Department spokesman said President Joe Biden was proud of the American athletes who had trained for the Games and would compete in the best traditions of the Olympic spirit.

Japanese Prime Minister Yoshiheid Suu Kyi recently extended the Corona emergency in Tokyo until May 31. The proportion of people fully vaccinated in Japan is currently two percent. Japan is battling a fourth wave of corona infections and has declared a state of emergency in more than a dozen regions. Most recently, a newspaper poll found that more than 80 percent voted Asahi Shimpan Pronounced against a planned Olympic event. (25.05.2021)

The US Secret Service has raised doubts about the origin of the Corona

When asked how the corona virus jumped on humans in 2019, there may be new evidence that humans were first infected in a laboratory, not an animal market in Wuhan. In a US intelligence report The Wall Street Journal According to reports, three employees of the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China fell seriously ill in November 2019 and came to a hospital for treatment there. The government in Beijing says the first corona case ever proven was filed on December 8, 2019. China has dismissed the US intelligence report as a “complete lie.”

The United States has now called on international experts to investigate the origin of the corona virus. US Health Secretary Xavier Beckeray said in a video message to the World Health Organization’s annual meeting that they should be given the opportunity to fully, explicitly and scientifically explore the source of the virus and its early days. Beckara did not directly mention China, where the first known Govt-19 cases occurred in the provincial capital, Wuhan, in December 2019.

In the last days of US President Donald Trump’s office, the administration in Wuhan, Washington, had submitted a study in the fall of 2019 in which several researchers claimed to have developed symptoms associated with Govt-19 and frequent seasonal illnesses. Although the Trump administration put forward the theory that an epidemic began at Wuhan, Joe Biden’s administration called for further investigation into the origin of the virus.

A study presented by the World Health Organization (WHO) in March concluded that in addition to the corona virus bats may also appear in pangolins. The theory that it could have escaped from a laboratory, on the other hand, was described by participating scientists as “highly unlikely”.(25.05.2021)
