Secret documents found in old Biden office

Last summer, the FBI raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate and seized thousands of government documents. Important documents have also now been discovered during the purge of heir Biden’s office. The documents date back to when Biden was vice president.
According to media reports, classified government documents from the time he was vice president were found in US President Joe Biden’s office. American broadcasters CBS and CNN reported that the documents were discovered during a sweep of Biden’s offices at the Ben Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in the US capital Washington in November.
The center is part of the University of Pennsylvania — where Biden had an office at the Ben Biden Center after leaving the vice president post in 2017-2019. The documents have been handed over to the National Archives, US media reported, citing the White House. The Department of Justice is investigating the incident. According to broadcaster CNN, there are about a dozen documents, including highly classified documents.
The contents of the documents are not clear. They were stored with personal documents in a locked cabinet. Democrat Biden served as Vice President under then-President Barack Obama from 2009 to 2017.
The discovery is particularly explosive given a similar recent case: former President Donald Trump is being investigated for moving government documents to his private property after leaving the White House. Trump may have made himself responsible for the lawsuit. The FBI raided the Florida property in August and seized various classified documents, some of which were highly classified. It remains unclear whether Trump will ultimately be indicted.
