Eagles News: Peter King highlights Philadelphia’s schedule problem

Let’s get to Philadelphia Eagles links…

Problems? There are a few. Teams that may contain a beef or two. Philadelphia. As Warren Sharp’s schedule indicates, while 21 teams play either a zero- or one-week road game, the Eagles play four: Week three in Washington knocked out Monday’s home game; Week 9 in Houston Thursday night out Sunday game; week eleven in Indianapolis out of Monday’s home game; and Week 16 in Dallas on Saturday afternoon off the road game on Sunday. (To be fair, most teams in Week 16 have a short game week because 12 matches are scheduled to be played Thursday/Saturday of that week.)

Better Defense – Igles Blitz
Wow, this is all so impressive. Sounds like a damn good defense. But… football outsiders ranked the Eagles 25th in the defensive DVOA. The team allowed 41 or more points three times. The latter died in the league in the permissible completion percentage (69.4%). This number was higher in the middle of the season. The Eagles had to warm up to get the number. Defense 31 was in bags. QB is not simply challenged in 2021. Will defense be better in 2022?

16. Not only did the Eagles refuse to draft a quarterback with any of their first-round picks, but they traded a top-tier player to the Titans for receiver AJ Brown, one of Hurts’ best friends. It is also among the best receivers in the game. Hurts is entering an awkward year in his career as he tries to prove he’s the long-term solution in the middle. With a strong offensive line, a host of playmakers including Brown, DeVonta Smith and a Dallas Guedert court finish, Hurts will be able to give his best. –

Philadelphia Eagles: At Commanders, Week 3. The joke you’ll hear from Eagles fans is that the league scheduled this game early in the season to make sure Carson Wentz was still on the field for the much-anticipated game between him and his former team. . Wentz’s sharp split from the Vultures is still the subject of much debate even if things undoubtedly worked out for the Vultures since they traded him for ponies. Replacing Wentz could already be a standout player, and the Eagles used the shots received from Wentz’s trade as bait for the eventual acquisition of AJ Brown. However, the drama of Wentz playing his first against the team he once cleared as the quarterback is pretty cool.

Week 6 – At Philadelphia Eagles WRAJ Brown. The Eagles have drafted a lot of wide receivers in the first round in recent years, most of them unsuccessful. They were in a great position to try it again in this year’s draft with a deep pool of talented passers, but chose to track down a proven receiver by trading with former Titan star receiver AJ Brown. While Brown was impressive in his first two years in the league, he missed four games through injury, and even when he played, his total score per game was less than impressive. The Eagles have given him a four-year, $100 million extension, so they treat the past year as an anomaly and Brown returns to his dominant ways.
