The never ageing and the ever so talented Emma Bunton, who is an English singer, songwriter, actress, and radio and television presenter, is now back on the television screen to present the US version of The Great British Bake Off.
The show will return to TV in the US later this year, and will also see Paul Hollywood making comeback as judge.
Baby Spice expressed her happiness and quoted it was her “dream job. Christmas time, eating cake, and having such a brilliant time with Spice, Sherry and Paul.” Besides, on her Heart Radio Show Bunton revealed that she had already started filming for the show and was very excited.
“Just being in the famous tent – honestly it took me a week to get used to being in the tent,” she said. Added that working with Hollywood was “great fun”.
“I had lots of fun with Paul. He’s got a great sense of humor. I did watch out for him [though, as] he can be trouble. He’s got those eyes. Don’t look in his eyes!”
The show would look forward to making a new name in the America’s television history, as it had be pulled off air last year. The Great British Bake Off faced allegations of sexual harassment surrounding judge Johnny Iuzzini.
The pastry chef, however denied the allegations, and had been the judge in all three series of the show, which aired on ABC.
Emma Bunton appeared on the sets of ABC show talent show Boy Band, in the last summer.
Withal, she expressed moving to cover baking for US TV has meant a bit of translation of terminology.
“There was this whole biscuit week and I was like it was ‘it’s biscuit week’ and they were ‘oh no, it’s cookie week’ and I was like, ‘Hang on, I’m the expert in biscuits.’
Pleasantrily, she also said that unlike the British version she did not hold back when it came to trying out the bakes.
“I think everyone else on British Bake Off doesn’t eat too much – that’s what all the producers were saying and then I’m like, ‘Can you put that in my trailer please I’ll eat that later’. I’m a little piglet.”
