Status: 03/28/2022 02:03 am

Two people have been killed in an attack by two armed men in Israel. Police shot the two culprits and talked about the act of terrorism. The incident obscured the historic meeting of the foreign ministers.

In the Israeli city of Hadera, two gunmen shot and killed two people and wounded at least four others before being killed by police officers. This was announced by the Israeli police and rescue personnel. The Mada rescue service confirmed the deaths of a man and a woman, with two of the four seriously injured.

Officials talk about “terrorism.”

Police and emergency services spoke of a “terrorist attack.” “Two terrorists opened fire on police officers, killing two bystanders,” police said. Special forces would have killed both attackers. According to local police spokesman Dudu Boani, the Israeli secret service has identified the two attackers as supporters of the Islamic State (IS), a jihadist organization. The militant militants are currently responsible for the attack. Israeli Prime Minister Naphtali Bennett went to the scene.

Security camera footage showed two men firing until they were attacked by police bullets. Such incidents are common in Israel and the Autonomous Region. A few days ago, four people were killed in an Arab knife attack in southern Israel.

The attack obscures the historic meeting

Today’s attack comes amid a meeting of key foreign ministers designed to ensure the normalization of relations between Israel and several Arab countries. At the invitation of Israeli Foreign Minister Jair Lobid, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Foreign Ministers of the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Morocco are attending a meeting in Israel until Monday.
