She lay on the floor, writhing and screaming in pain.
But all that is of no use. Now Allison Holthoff (37) has died. The mother of three died in agony at Amherst Hospital in Canada. Unbelievable: The hospital left the woman stewing in the emergency room for more than seven hours. This was reported by the New York Post.
Allison Holthoff had to carry
The accident already happened on December 31, 2022. Husband Gunther Holthoff says: Alison fell off a horse in September and has been in pain ever since. By the end of the year, his health had seriously deteriorated.
Gunther Holthoff took his wife to Cumberland Regional Health Center around 11 a.m., unable to walk. Upon recording, Alison said she was in severe pain and it was getting worse.

“I Think I’m Dying”
After giving blood and urine, the 37-year-old was asked to sit back in the waiting room. There Alison Holthoff had to curl up on the floor because her suffering was unbearable. She told her husband, “I think I’m dying. Don’t let me die here.” A nurse asks if the patient is “always like this”.
By 6:00 p.m. Alison’s pulse rate was high and her blood pressure had dropped. “It was the first time I had the feeling that someone was watching us,” says Gunther Holthoff. About seven hours later, the patient saw a doctor for the first time. Moments later, the Canadian’s heart stopped.
One percent chance of survival
Three attempts at resuscitation failed. Doctors decided not to operate on Alison – her chances of survival would have been one percent. Gunther Holthoff and their three children said goodbye to their beloved mother, and the 37-year-old was officially pronounced dead at 11:30 p.m.
More than a week after losing his wife, Gunther Holthoff’s cause of death is still unknown. Reason: He has no insight into the post-mortem report yet.
