More than a decade since Jonas Brothers performed at the MTV VMAs on Monday, the trio picked up exactly from where they left. Rocking the musical night, the band made the crowd go absolutely crazy at The Stone Pony historic music club known for launching the likes of Springsteen & Bon Jovi.

Dressed in a blue denim and jeans, Nick Jonas elegantly worked his way to the stage with a guitar, while Joe and Kevin – who wore a Canadian tuxedo and a leather jacket with ripped jeans – lit the night with their comeback hit “Sucker”. Apart from it, they also treated their fans on hand with their latest single, “Only Human”.

“The inspiration for the guys’ VMA performance is all about going back to their roots,” their longtime stylist Avo Yermagyan told The Hollywood Reporter. “They are Jersey boys who are going to perform at the iconic Stone Pony in Asbury Park, which is arguably one of the greatest rock venues in the world. It’s also the same stage which launched fellow New Jersey natives Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi. I was inspired by that gritty rock-and-roll scene in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s and thought Amiri’s SS20 Collection would strike just the right chord,” the stylist said before the performance.

The last time the trio played together at the iconic award show, it was 2008, and the band sang “Lovebug” on that night. The following year they were also nominated for Video of the Year and Best Pop Video for their song, “Burning Up”.

The band was also nominated this time for Song and Video of the Year for their hit single, “Sucker” and bagged the award for the best video last night. Further, expressing their joy the Jonas Brothers tweeted: “Best Pop Video for #Sucker!! Thank you #VMAs.”

Jonas Brothers who parted ways in 2013, finally reunited in March. Much to the delight of their fans they also released their first song, “Sucker”, which also became their first song ever to reach at the epitome on the Billboard Hot 100. In June, the band came up with an album called Happiness Begins – first in six years, which was also a hit.

One of the fans named Anna Walsh, also expressed her delight and tweeted: “Only waited 9 years, 51 weeks, 1 day for this reunion”
