Status: 04/17/2021 12:40 am

Police have released the first results of an investigation into the devastating shooting at a U.S. logistics center. Accordingly, the 19-year-old former employee shot eight people and injured seven others.

Police say the attack, which killed several people at a FedEx parcel service distribution center in the US city of Indianapolis, was carried out by a 19-year-old former employee. The last person he worked at the distribution center was last year, Indianapolis Deputy Chief of Police Craig McCart said. His purpose is not yet clear.

Accordingly, the young man killed eight people with a gun and wounded 7 others. He then shot himself. McCartney said the 19-year-old was known to police. He did not provide further details.

Half mast flags in the White House

The United States has already been rocked by a number of shootings this year with numerous deaths. President Joe Biden spoke of another “tragedy” and ordered the half-raising of American flags at the White House, public buildings, US embassies and military bases.

Biden last week ordered new measures to curb gun violence in the country. But he needs a majority in Congress to significantly tighten the gun law. Conservative Republicans have been opposing the tightening of the law for years.
