The teacher disarms the girls
A sixth-grader shot and killed three people
Repeated shootings are taking place in the United States, and stricter gun laws are being repeatedly demanded. U.S. police say an incident in the state of Idaho has now been reported – a sixth grader brought a gun to a school and opened fire.
A sixth-grader at his school in Idaho, USA, shot and killed three people. The woman “took a pistol from her pocket and shot several shots,” Jefferson County Sheriff Steve Anderson said. All three injured were taken to hospital, but their lives were not in danger.
According to authorities, a teacher disarmed the student and kept her in custody until police arrived. The girl may be between eleven and twelve years old. Local law enforcement and the US Federal Bureau of Investigation are investigating.
Guns are widespread in the United States, with repeated shootings. All attempts at a strict gun law have so far failed in the face of opposition from the powerful gun lobby. US President Joe Biden has announced a new effort to curb gun violence in the country.
