Oscar-winner Helen Mirren and renowned British actor Sir Ian McKellen, are set to feature together in their upcoming film, “The Good Liar”. The two are no strangers and have already shared the screen in “Dance of Death” in 2001.
“We are so outside of our comfort zones,” Helen Mirren said as she sat with Ian McKellen onstage at the Booth Theater on Sunday night, in a promotional event in New York.
The duo was interviewed by the show’s MC Anthony Veneziale, about their personal and professional fellowship, which resulted in an extempore love song sung by their regular cast onstage.
Meanwhile, McKellen was also asked about what brought him together with Mirren, to which he said: “We were both into men.” As known, the actor came out publically more than 30 years ago to reveal that he is gay, and also wore a rainbow scarf and a Pete Buttigieg T-shirt, to root for the Potential presidency candidate. “Pete is going to be the next president,” he said.
“The Good Liar” is set for release across the UK and Ireland on November 8, while the US gets its first chance to see the movie on November 15, as other European and Asian countries follow the release.

What to Expect?
Although it is still naive to comment on the success movie will see at the box office, the trend across social media suggests that the audience this movie caters to is relatively limited. Meanwhile, its genre and popularity of stars can still draw in relatively large numbers. The film as revealed is adapted from Nicholas Searle’s novel.
