They broke their promise to defend their country: Ukrainian President Zhelensky fired two top security officials. In a video message, he said that “all traitors” will be gradually punished.
According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zhelensky, two top security officials have been fired. Zelenskyy said in a night video message that Andriy Naumov, the former head of the SBU secret service, and Serhey Kryvoruchko, the former head of the SBU for the Kherson area. “I do not have time to take care of all the traitors now. But little by little they will all be punished.” Both violated the pledge to defend Ukraine. He did not give any further details.
Naomov was already ousted as head of the secret service last summer and is said to have returned abroad before the war began. According to media reports, he was involved in smuggling and corruption at customs.
Warning of cooperation with the Russian side
Zelenskyj had already warned his comrades earlier this week about the dangers of collaborating with the Russian occupiers. In the video speech, he addressed “these unique idiots” who want to work with the Russian military. “I want to point out that they (the Russians) themselves are expelling their own people, and then what will they do with the foreign traitors?”
Zhelensky asked them to think of potential traitors. But I know people like that don’t think about anything. Otherwise they would not have been traitors.
