Melania Trump’s spokeswoman has called for a boycott of T.I. after the rapper released a “disgusting” music video featuring a look-alike of the first lady, wearing nothing but the infamous “I Really Don’t Care, Do U?” jacket.
“Like it or not, she is the first lady and this is the White House,”Stephanie Grisham, Melania Trump’s spokeswoman said in a statement. “It’s disrespectful and disgusting to portray her in this way simply because of politics. These kinds of vulgar attacks only further the divisiveness and bias in our country ― it needs to stop.”
Atlanta rapper, T.I. posted the video to Twitter on Friday, depicting the rapper sitting at the Resolute Deskin a fake Oval Office while Melania’s look-alike starts stripping. The video teaser is for his new upcoming album “Dime Trap”.
“Dear 45, I ain’t Kanye,” T.I. tweeted along with the video, referring to Kanye West’s recent visit to the White House, which he slammed as “the most repulsive, disgraceful, embarrassing act of desperation.”The rapper had also declined West’s invitation to join him at the White house by calling it an “auctioning off of one’s soul to gain power.” The tweet clearly reflected how much the rapper dislikes Trump.
T.I. and Kanye have worked together in 2006 for the famous track “Swagga Like Us.” The rapper publicly unfriended West in an NSFW Instagram post. He wrote, “At one time it was a pleasure to work alongside you… now, I’m ashamed to have ever been associated with you. I’ve reached my limits. This is my stop, I’m officially DONE!!!!”
A real footage of Trump boarding Marine One solo can be seen in the beginning of the video and then further goes to T.I. standing in an Oval Office like set. The rapper then goes behind the Resolute Desk and lights a cigar, while the woman walks-in, wearing Melania Trump’s green Zara jacket, which she previously said was aimed at the left-wing, and a pair of heels. The woman then disrobes herself and dances suggestively on the top of the desk.
Donald Trump is yet to acknowledge the video on his social media platforms, as he was busy campaigning and welcoming Pastor Andrew Brunson from captivity in Turkey over the weekend.
