Ukraine-News: Russia is probably preparing for a rapid ground offensive

The Institute for the Study of War, an American think tank, examined the situation report in its Thursday morning (May 26) report, noting that significant movements of troops are currently seen around Zhivorodonetsk. Russia may strike the city before it can cut off Ukrainian communications on the ground – which appears to be a consistent military operation. The company was reported by the Kiev Independent news portal.

The ISW therefore analyzes that the rapid attack on Zhivorodonetsk may have been carried out “to maintain momentum after sending a significant portion of its personnel, artillery, aircraft and logistics to the front.” So far, Russia has suffered heavy losses in the Ukraine war. Ukrainian civil servants now estimate that nearly 30,000 soldiers died. Logically, the Kremlin cites significantly lower numbers.
